IFBB WP Champs a great success!

Thanking all athletes for their participation and devotion to the sport and IFBB as a whole. What a great atmosphere was set by all who attended! With a total of 87 competitors and 420 supporters for the evening show, the show was indeed jam packed. From Juniors through to Seniors we definitely saw roadwork and strict diet was adhered to for the show.

A total of 37 Athletes qualified for the Western Province team and they will be representing us at the South African National Champs on 7 - 10 September 2011.

From Soft Bikini to Competitive Bodybuilding (and all line ups in between), the athletes are certainly of a High standard within the WP team and we are confident that we are going top SA's to dominate the entire event!

One of the great highlights of the event was the Guest pose down by IFBB Pro Toney 'The X-MAN' Freeman and IFBB Pro Marius Dohne. With more than 400lbs on the same stage of pure quality, they certainly brought the house down! What an awesome display of symmetry, aesthetics and conditioning! Without a doubt the crowd received new motivation and desire to train even harder than before!

The Overall Winner for the Western Province event was none other than Unati Fabe, hailing from Mitchells Plain on the Cape Flats. As the IFBB WP body, we would like to congratulate you on this wonderful achievement and look forward to seeing you at SA Champs!

To ALL athletes preparing for SA Champs, we would like to THANK YOU for your hard work and dedication! It certainly does not go unnoticed!

In conclusion, South African Bodybuilding and Fitness is certainly making waves Nationally and Internationally. With media and press support from 9 different newspapers as well as SuperSport, Body Building and Fitness is finally being recognised as an official National Olympic sport!
